Properties of a rose
When you think of roses, you might think of love, happiness, attraction, deep emotions, grace, and passion. And honestly, roses are commonly used in love spells. When using red rosebuds in spell casting and rituals, they are known to help enhance female intuition (ladies!), aid in dream work, explore sexuality, boost confidence and beauty, and help you seek the truth.
Let's talk romance, shall we? If you wish and dream of enhancing your intimate life, sprinkle these around your bed to promote sexuality and romance. It's a magical herb sure to boost your confidence and boost the mood.
If you're going solo (or need a little me-time), a bath infused with rosebuds is a great recipe for ultimate relaxation. You'll attract love, luck, and good health. Speak your intentions as you bathe, or listen to some of your favorite music via Bluetooth and meditate with encouraging thoughts.
Create rose-infused water
If you have any sort of leftovers, rosewater is a brilliant way to incorporate the product before it withers away. Have a handy-dandy roller or spray bottle filled with rosewater to spritz yourself for some quick self-love therapy.
What you'll need...
It's quite simple, actually. All you need is two or three cups of water and half a cup of dried rosebuds. Add them together in a small pot, and go ahead and speak your intentions out loud. Perhaps say something along the lines of, "Roses, inspire this water with your loving properties. So Mote it Be."
Put a lid on the pot and let it boil at a low simmer. No worries, the color will fade from the buds - it can take a few minutes to complete this step. After boiling, let it cool off completely and then strain. Voila!
For a holistic approach, use rose water as a drinking tea to squash headaches or dizziness. Or, you can lightly spritz it on your face to fight inflammation and irritation, leaving you feeling refreshed and awakened. Now, this is self-love.
Hopefully, this provides you enough information to start using rosebuds in your magickal practices.
Until next time...
